CQS Accredited Conveyancing Solicitors on the Aldermore Panel…

On 30th January 2013 Aldermore Mortgages increased the loan to value on buy to let mortgages to 80%! Details as regards the rates can be found here

Aldermore Mortgages have a fairly strict approach in relation to which firms of solicitors they appoint onto their panel. A lot of their appointments now may be based on as to whether or not law firms are Conveyancing Quality Accredited as most lenders adopt that criteria. If appointed, solicitors will be able to act for them on residential conveyancing transactions. Otherwise they usually request that you instruct a different solicitor who is on their panel.

Ola Leslie Solicitors have been CQS accredited since February 2012 which was shortly after the scheme was launched. We have always been a member of the Aldermore Mortgages panel so if Aldermore ever changed their criteria based on the CQS as others did we were not affected. Unfortunately there are a large number of law firms in England and Wales who find it difficult to obtain panel status with Aldermore due to not being CQS accredited, amongst other things.

Mortgage lenders change their criteria from time to time to allow them to risk manage more effectively and have firms of solicitors who they have close dealings with on their panel so that high standards of diligence are maintained.

If you need a solicitor to act for you who is Conveyancing Quality Accredited and on the Aldermore Mortgages panel, please call us on 0207 183 0084 or email us on property@olaleslie.com for a fixed fee conveyancing quotation and to ask us about any reservations or queries that you may have; we are always happy to assist.
